The Rockford Fosgate M2D4-10I is an M2 series 10 inch dual voice coil (DVC) 4-ohm marine subwoofer in white, featuring Color Optix RGB LED illumination controllable via the PMX-RGB controller and RF Connect app (available on iOS and Android, sold separately). It is the white version of the M2D4-10IB, purpose-built for infinite baffle (free air) marine installations where a dedicated subwoofer enclosure is not available or practical. A mounting baffle is required to isolate front and rear wavelengths and prevent acoustic cancellation.

The M2D4-10I brings the full M2 series driver construction to a 10 inch infinite baffle format. The cone is injection-moulded mineral-filled polypropylene with UV inhibitors, co-moulded with a UV stable injection-moulded foam surround using Rockford Fosgate's patented VAST technique for up to 25% more effective radiating cone area. The aramid-polyester composite spider provides superior excursion linearity. The ultra-high temperature PA66 frame with 30% glass fill and UV inhibitors provides a rigid, thermally stable mounting platform. The vented motor design with a water-repelling nano-coated mesh screen allows heat dissipation at high output levels while protecting the motor from water ingress. Fully insulated silicone tinsel leads are used throughout.

The VersaSwitch allows impedance to be changed between 2-ohm (parallel) and 8-ohm (series) by flipping a single switch, without any additional wiring. Industry-first moulded in-frame Deutsch/Amphenol connectors combine Color Optix RGB lighting and audio signal in a single plug-and-play connection. Gold-plated marine grade brass terminals are also included. Both stainless steel and sport grille inserts are included with additional grille options available separately. Tested to ASTM B117 (500-hour salt/fog), ASTM G154 (500-hour accelerated UV), and ISO60068-2-64 vibration standards. Klippel Verified certification applied.
