The Hema HR-1 is a purpose-built smart monitor designed for drivers and 4WD enthusiasts who demand connected intelligence, incident recording, and off-road navigation in a single windscreen-mounted unit. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto provide hands-free access to apps, navigation, calls, messages, and music through the 7-inch 1024 x 600 IPS LCD touchscreen, while the dual-channel DVR records the road ahead and behind in Full High-Definition 1080p for comprehensive incident coverage.

GPS integration with an external GPS antenna enables confident navigation in any location, and the HR-1 includes a free trial of the Hema 4WD Maps app — an offline digital mapping platform covering over 70 preloaded Hema maps, over 500,000km of Hema Map Patrol roads and tracks, 4WD track viewing, waypoint dropping, and trip planning and sharing without requiring an internet connection. Real-time GPS tracking and additional map sources are available via Memory Map.

The quick-release magnetic mount system enables easy installation and removal, with 3M adhesive dashboard mount and suction cup mount options also included for flexible positioning. The FHD rear camera connects via an 8-metre extension cable with automatic switching to rear view on reverse engagement and adjustable parking assistance guidelines. Loop recording in 1-minute, 3-minute, or 5-minute segments and a G-sensor for incident detection ensure continuous journey and event capture.
